Groove Distortion Records was founded by Tom Cella and David Burdick in 2017. After initially starting out as a producer in the trance world in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Burdick decided to branch out into other genres with a trance pop group called Attack The Wire, and then a solo effort for the next 11 years. He later teamed up with former bandmate Cella to form the electropop group Rare Facture in 2014, quickly developing a unique and successful sound in the independent world of underground electronic music. Burdick also produces and is a founding member of the darkwave band Sun Goes Dark. Cella brought his experience in building and growing online businesses, combined with his songwrting/producing abilites to the table to complete the team for Groove Distortion.

Together, the team at Groove Distortion Records’ vision was to create a home for their independent releases, we well as a place to feature their love for underground electronic music influenced by the great electronic bands of the 80’s and 90’s. So what are the plans for the future? Putting out more great music for our fans is our number one priority, and providing you with the releases that will hopefully help inspire and influence the next generation of songwriters now and into the future.
